Why the Kat Von D Lock-It Foundation should be in your make up bag

I wish I could be one of those bloggers that gets really excited to try endless new foundations and concealers and be able to compare results of each for coverage, tone, matte, durability, weariblity etc. but alas, my skin has been seriously rebelling on me over the last 6 months and now I’m firmly in the camp of ‘if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it’, or more aptly, ‘if it doesn’t give you crazy teenage breakouts, don’t mess with it’.

I’ve talked before about the ethics behind Kat Von D Beauty, and it’s a company I fully support and believe in. I’m in a committed relationship with my beloved Kat Von D Lock It foundation, and as my skin has got slightly more tanned this summer, I decided I needed a darker shade to make sure I’m not rocking the ghost-face of summer past look this season.

I can’t get enough of this foundation, the tiniest amount goes such a long way and the coverage constantly surprises me. It’s one of those formulas that gives full cover but in a natural, subtle way and really compliments the natural shape and contours of the face.

It lasts all day with minimal wear or re-applying needed. It’s a matte formula but I’ve found it hydrates the skin and definitely doesn’t dry it out like some other matte foundations I have tried.  There are also SO many colour tones to chose from it’s really easy to get a match for your skin too.

I also picked up the Lock It Concealer as I have been SO impressed with the formula of the foundation since I first picked it up in Vegas last year, I knew I’d get along well with the concealer too.

And guess what, it’s my new best friend.

I really feel this foundation has given me a boost of confidence with my skin, and it will be a staple in my make-up bag pretty much forever!

I couldn’t recommend this product enough, so if you’re on the look out for a new foundation, this might just be the one for you.

I want to try the KVD foundation but other dry people have said not to bother. I have the concealer but it doesn’t play nice with my dry skin unfortunately 🙁
